Mike Porter: 1. I never tire of painting our iconic mountain, especially on a clear spring day with its winter snow pack. This is on a watercolor greeting card. 2-7 5 greeting cards I painted this week in casein and gouache. Took much longer than with watercolor but was a good exercise for me using opaque media...which most of you all use. Poppies are blooming along the roadways now out in Washington Co. Don't tell anyone but I took a trip up into the hills to see the red clover fields, pulled over, and dug up some of the orange poppies and planted them in my yard. I figured Washington Co. won't mind if I take some...sorta like getting a property tax refund.
