Full circle! This weekend I met up with a former student of mine, Matt Schu, for the book signing of his latest collaborative effort, “Cut” at the Tanasborne Barnes and Noble store. Matt created all the wonderful illustrations for this book that honors a true pioneer in animation, Lotte Reiniger. Fitting for Matt Schu, now an accomplished artist himself! So I became the student there, catching up with him and gaining tips on how to move my own art efforts forward. As a teacher, it is an utter joy to see one of my students achieve success in the field of their dreams (and doodles). Getting older does have its perks!
