First Presbyterian Church, First Thursday, October 3 (Aimee Erickson)

Dear friends, collectors, and fellow art enthusiasts,

I hope you can join me this Thursday, October 3 at a wine and cheese reception for my show "in stillness/in motion." Appropriate attire includes rain boots.

The paintings depict women doing their daily work. There's a quality of stillness in the midst of activity that connects these images. Several of them are from my favorite local bakery, for which I have very warm feelings.

As a painter I like to share how I see the world. It means a lot to me when other people see something in my paintings that moves them.

Many people, over the years, have said to me, "I want to buy one of your paintings before you get really famous." So, now is a good time.   I hope to see you there.
