Tabor Day at the Songbird Café - July 28

The Songbird Cafe, at SE 69th Ave. and Belmont St., is joining forces with the Friends of Mt. Tabor Park (FMTP) in a fundraiser to benefit the park and mark the first anniversary of the Songbird's opening. The celebration, known as Tabor Day, will run from 12 noon to 7 pm.

Diversions will include “low noise” music, Artists Stephanie Cissna and Celeste Bergin at work, an art exhibition featuring historic photos and lots of food including a barbecue. SE 69th will be closed from Morrison to Belmont sts. to accommodate some of the artists and entertainers. Volunteers will solicit donations for the FMTP, which will also receive a portion of the proceeds from an art sale and silent auction.
