Meet Jim on Sauvie Island at what has been called the Dike Road across from the Dog Kennel. (Buy a parking pass at the Grocery).  

Take Reeder road to the parking lot across from Sauvie Island Kennels (the parking lot is plain to see). We’ve learned that this location has an official name, “Raccoon Point”

Paint out with host Tim Young, Friday, October 25 Lone Fir Cemetery 9am

Meet Host Tim Young on  Friday 10/25/19 9am* for a paint out at Lone Fir Cemetery. 2115 SE Morrison St, 97214 Portland. 

You can  park on the street and walk into the cemetery from SE Morrison Street. Lone Fir Cemetery is also a City Park and Portland's 2nd largest Arboretum. 

You'll find us initially in the center of the Cemetery near the soldier's statue and/or the McLeary Mausoleum (Building). We'll reconvene near the statue for the art discussion at noon.

Meet Host Nancy Zhang in the parking lot, near the Visitor's Center of Powell Butte Nature Park on Friday, Oct 4 at 9am.  (Address: 16160 SE Powell Blvd, Portland, OR 97236)
Fan out to paint what inspires you and then meet everyone back near the Visitor's Center to show and discuss your painting around noon.  There are good vistas right there near the Visitor Center, but Powell Butte is a big place with lots of trails. Weather forecast is good! 

Labor Day Paint Out with host Michael Lindstrom, Monday 9/2/19 9am

It's the Labor Day paint out! (Monday, Sept 2 2019) Michael Lindstrom is our host. Lots of us paint on a bigger surface than usual for this paint out (But! you can also bring regular size canvases...it is all up to you). It starts at 9, and Michael will give a demo at 9:30 for anyone who is interested.

You’ll need a parking pass. Stop at the Cracker Barrel store to get one. Painting Location: Go down past the Cracker Barrel store and turn right on Reeder Road. About 5 miles down the spot is right there across from the kennels. There is a parking lot right there with a portapotty.  You'll see some painters! After everyone has purchased a parking permit at the store Joanne will lead the way to the location (which is the Steelman area, a straight shot from the Store). Joanne will do a landscape demo. All levels are welcome. She encourages beginners and she'll help you get started if you need any help. Bring whatever materials you have..it is all fun!
